The Pittsboro Fire Department proudly and continuously protects life, property and the environment from fire, natural disasters, and other emergencies for those who live, work and travel through the Town of Pittsboro and surrounding districts with professional and honest personnel.

The Pittsboro Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 12 full time 24 hour shift personnel and two Chiefs that work a 40 hour work week. Two personnel staff the new station at 4170 Old Graham Road 24 Hours.

In addition to the paid staff, approximately 20 dedicated volunteers respond from two stations and are available at a moments notice.
